The series of events commemorating the fifth anniversary of Milva’s death opens on Tuesday, April 14, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the inauguration of the exhibition Turin 1962–1965. Tribute to Milva. Three important portraits of the singer will be displayed, two of which are previously unseen, created by Ezio Gribaudo – artist, publisher, and a key figure in the art world, as well as a close friend at the time of the singer’s husband, Maurizio Corgnati.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Gribaudo Archive in Turin and the Brera Academy, of which Milva became an honorary member in 1992.

Gribaudo’s works are presented by art historian Paolo Bolpagni, director of the Ragghianti Foundation in Lucca, in dialogue with Paola Gribaudo and Martina Corgnati. In these experimental works, developed from photographic images, the face of the very young singer emerges – already recognized as a revelation at the 1961 Sanremo Festival with Mare nel cassetto (Eligio La Valle, Fernando Lattuada, Piero Rolla). Even then, she showed an interest in more original repertoires, such as folk music, blues, and Canti della Libertà, the title of the eponymous vinyl released in 1965.
